When setting up Inventory Groups, it’s essential to establish mutual inventory for products within each group to activate them.
If you create groups manually, you can easily configure mutual inventory during the group creation process.
However, when using the smart scan feature, all potential inventory groups are suggested without mutual inventory set. Editing each group individually to configure mutual inventory can be time-consuming. This is where the Bulk edit feature comes in handy, allowing you to modify multiple inventory groups simultaneously.
Here’s a quick guide to using the Bulk edit feature:
Step 1: Access the Inventory Groups Page #
Navigate to the Inventory Groups page from the app’s navigation menu.
(Optional) Run the smart scan to suggest potential inventory groups with products sharing the same SKUs.
Step 2: Select Groups for Editing #
Check the boxes next to the groups you want to edit. You can select individual groups or use the checkbox in the table header to select all groups on the current page.
After selecting the groups, click the Bulk edit button.
Tips: By default, the app displays only 25 inventory groups per page, but you can adjust this to 50 or 100 for editing larger batches.
Step 3: Edit Selected Groups on the Bulk Edit Page #
On this page, you’ll find a summary of selected groups where you can:
- Edit group names
- Enable or disable groups
- Specify locations and set mutual inventory
Click Save once you’ve finished editing.
