🆕 Horizontal Filters – Now Available in Easify Box Builder!
How to Enable Filters, Search Bar and Sort #
Step 1: Create Your Box #
Start by creating your box as you normally would in the Easify Box Builder app. Set up your steps and basic structure first.

Step 2: Select Your Product List #
Go to the Content tab and click on the specific Product List where you want to add the search, filter, or sort functions.

Step 3: Enable Options in Advanced Settings #
In the General tab of that Product List, scroll down to the Advanced Settings section. Here, you can see two of these the following options:
- Show Filters
- Side filters
- Horizontal filters
- Show Search Bar
- Show Sort

Filters in Collections #
You can display either a Side Filter or a Horizontal Filter in your product list (collection). Choose whichever fits your layout best.
| Example | |
| Side filters | ![]() |
| Horizontal filters – Dropdown | ![]() |
| Horizontal filters – Button | ![]() |
Horizontal Filters 🆕 #
Horizontal Filters is a new display option that gives your product list a cleaner, more modern look. With filters displayed at the top of the page, customers can quickly narrow down their choices without ever losing sight of the product list below.

To get started, go to Show Filters settings in the Product List – Collection source and select Horizontal Filters as your display style.

From there, you can:
- Choose which filters to display: select only the filters most relevant to your product list
- Pick a style: choose between Dropdown or Button to match your store’s look and feel
- Customize swatch display: for filters that use color or image swatches, choose between Inline or Stacked layout to control how swatches appear relative to the filter label
Important Rules & Compatibility #
To ensure these features work correctly, please keep the following logic in mind. The Sort and Filter functions in Box Builder operate identically to your Shopify Online Store Theme.
1. Filters #
- Availability: Filters only work when your Product List setup is a Collection.
- Setup: To customize which attributes (like size, color, or material) show up in the filters, you must use a third-party app. We recommend using the free Shopify Search & Discovery app to manage and customize your filter attributes.

2. Search #
- Availability: The Search bar only works when your Product List setup is Specific Products or All Products.
- Limitation: Search does not function on lists set up as a Collection.
3. Sort #
- Availability: Sorting works for all types of Product Lists (Collection, Specific Products, or All Products).
- Attributes: By default, we support all standard attributes that Shopify supports for sorting (e.g., Best Selling, Price, Alphabetical).
Quick Summary #
| Product List Setup | Filter | Search | Sort |
| Collection | ✅ Yes | ❌ No | ✅ Yes |
| Specific Products | ❌ No | ✅ Yes | ✅ Yes |
| All Products | ❌ No | ✅ Yes | ✅ Yes |
Note: If you need to add specific filter attributes, remember to set them up in your Shopify Search & Discovery app first (or any other 3rd-party apps that help you with filtering)
