Understanding Key Terms #
Before you start, it’s important to understand 2 key terms:
- Option: In the Easify Product Options app, an Option allows you to create custom choices for your products. You can select from 26 different option types such as Dropdown, Button, Image Swatch, Checkbox, and more. Each Option can include multiple option values.
- Option Set: To add an Option to a product, it must be part of an Option Set. An Option Set can contain one or multiple Options.
OPTION SET TEMPLATES #
Supported plan: FREE & PRO
You can create a new option set from scratch or use Option Set Templates to build your option set. There are 2 types of templates:
- Predesigned Templates: These templates are built by the Easify team to help you quickly create your option sets without starting from scratch. With over 40 templates available (some free, some requiring a Pro plan), you’ll find templates tailored to various industries like clothing, jewelry, pet products, food, and more. Select a template that matches your store’s offerings and customize it as needed. You can easily add, remove, or rearrange options within these templates, and adjust demo values to fit your actual product options.
- My Templates: In addition to Easify’s templates, you can create your own Option Set Templates to reuse across different option sets.
Notes:
- When you add an Option Set Template to an existing option set, the options from the template will be added to the set without replacing any existing options.
- You can combine multiple templates within a single option set if needed.
- You can customize a Predesigned template and save it as your own in “My Templates”.
- Editing Option Set Templates will not automatically update the option sets that use that template. If you want to make changes in one place that apply to all related option sets, explore the Option Template feature described in the next section.
Pre-designed Option Set Templates #
You can access Easify’s Predesigned Template library in several ways:
- From the Templates Page: Go to “Templates” from the app navigation menu. Browse through the templates, hover over each one to “View Demo” on a new tab, and if it suits your needs, click “Use Template” to start customizing it.
- From the Option Sets Page: Go to “Option Sets” from the app navigation menu. Click “Create option set”, then choose “Use a template” to go to the Templates page.
- While Creating a New Option Set: On the new option set page, click “Add template” to open the template library. Here, you can view demos or add a template directly to your new option set.

How to Create Your Own Option Set Templates #
You can create your option set templates in 2 ways:
- From the Templates Page: Click “Create template” to start building your template.
- While Saving an Option Set: When saving a new option set, choose “Save as template” instead of the regular save option. This will store the option set in “My Templates” for future use.
How to Edit Your Option Set Templates #
On the “My Templates” page, click “Edit” to open and modify your template. Remember to click “Save” once you’re done to keep your changes.
Notes:
- An Option Set Template cannot be directly assigned to any product. Therefore, when editing a template, you won’t see the product assignment section. To apply the template to specific products, click the “Use template” button instead.
- Just like with “Predesigned Templates”, you can access “My Templates” from the Templates page or directly while editing your Option Set. To do this, click “Add template”, switch to the “My Templates” tab in the popup, and select your desired Option Set Template to add.
OPTION TEMPLATES #
Supported plan: PRO
If you have multiple Option Sets that share a specific Option and you want to update this Option across all those sets simultaneously, Option Templates are the solution.
Think of them as a Master template – any changes made to an Option Template will automatically apply to all Option Sets that include that Option, saving you the time and effort of updating each set individually.
How to Create a New Option Template #
- Start by creating a new Option Set from scratch.
- Add the Option you want to use as an Option Template.
- In the Advanced settings tab, check “Save as option template”.
- Save the option set. This will generate the Option Template, which you can find in the “My Templates” page.
How to Add an Option Template to an Option Set #
- In the option set you’re editing, click “Add template”.
- In the popup, go to the “My Template” tab and select the Option Template you want to add.
- You can add one or multiple Option Templates to an option set and adjust their positions as needed.
How to Edit an Option Template #
- On the “My Templates” page, click the Edit icon/button to open the option set in the editing page and make any desired changes.
- Once you’ve finished editing, click the “Save” button.
Notes:
After clicking “Save”, a popup will appear asking if you want to apply the changes to the option sets that include the edited option. You can choose to either:
- “Just save the template”: Save the Option Template without applying changes to the Option Sets that use it.
- Apply the changes to some or all of the Option Sets that include the edited Option Template.
