Adding extra charges helps you increase revenue by charging for special services or add-ons, such as engraving, gift wrapping, or upsell products.
This guide walks you through how to set up charges for your custom product options using Easify Product Options.
This feature is available on paid plans only. You’ll need to upgrade your plan to access it. Don’t worry, every paid plan comes with a 14-day free trial, so you can try it out first.
There are 3 different ways you can set up charges for your product options in Easify Product Options. The best method depends on the nature of your options—whether they are physical or non-physical, whether you want to track inventory, and the type of display used for the option.
You link the option to a specific product. The price of that product becomes the option’s charge.
For example: a checkbox upsell linked to a specific product like a greeting card or a gift box.
3. Mixed Add-on Price and Add-on Product (coming soon)#
You link the option to a specific product so its inventory will be tracked. At the same time, you set a custom price (add-on price) for the option, instead of using the linked product’s price.
In short:
If you want to track the inventory of the linked product but charge a different price for the option, this is the setup for you.
For example: a product with limited stock offered as an add-on at a discounted price.
Applies to: Text Box, Text Area, Number Box, Switch, File Upload, Dimension, Font Picker, Date Picker, Time Picker, Color Picker, Date Range, Quantity.
Steps:
Open the Advanced settings tab of the option.
Check the “Add price” box.
Choose how to set the price:
Add-on price: Enter the price in the text field.
Add-on product: Click “Select add-on product” to open a popup, choose the product to link. The product’s price will be used as the option price.
If you want to link multiple add-on products to your options, doing it one by one can take time. To speed things up, use the Bulk Add > Add-on products feature.
Steps:
Don’t add any options yet.
Click the Bulk Add button and select “Add-on products”.
A popup will appear—select all the add-on products you want.
Click Confirm, and all option values corresponding to the selected products will be created at once.
Our app does support One-time Charge, allowing you to charge an option once per product or per order, regardless of how many main products the customer selects. Example: Charge once for a logo print, no matter how many T-shirts the customer buys. Learn more.
However, this feature is not supported in the current version (v3) of Add-on Price/Product. It is available in the previous version.
