Welcome to Easify Inventory Sync! Our app empowers you to establish seamless connections between the inventory of one product (or variant) and other specific products (or variants). To make the most of this tool, let’s explore 2 essential concepts: Inventory Groups and Bundle Groups.
Inventory Groups | Bundle Groups | |
---|---|---|
Purposes | Inventory Groups are collections of products (or variants) that share the same inventory quantity. This helps sync inventory among all products within the group. | Bundle Groups are collections of a bundle product and the individual products included in the bundle. This helps manage the inventory relationship among them. |
How It Works | Inventory Groups can be created in 2 ways: Automate: Auto-detect and group products with the same SKUs. Manual: Manually select different products to add to the group. Here’s how: 1/ Create a new Inventory Group. 2/ Add products that share the same inventory base to the group. 3/ Select a location and set mutual inventory for all products in the group. 4/ Save the group and update the mutual inventory for all products. 5/ When an order contains 1 product in the group, the remaining products in the group will have their inventory deducted by the same quantity. | 1/ Create a new Bundle Group. 2/ Add all relevant products to the group, including the Bundle product and individual products. 3/ Set the Bundle product as “Master”. 4/ Set the quantity per bundle for each component product. 5/ (Optional) Adjust the inventory of the Bundle product according to the available inventories of all component products right after creating the group. 6/ When a Bundle product is bought, the component products’ inventories will be deducted by the quantity they contribute to the bundle. 7/ (Optional) When the component products are sold as individual items, the available quantity of the Bundle product (Master) will also be adjusted accordingly. |

Specifc Examples | Unisex Tees Problems: There is a Men’s Tee in the Men Collection and a Women’s Tee in the Women Collection. Although they have different images to match their collections, they are actually the same product, pulling from one base inventory. As separate products in Shopify, you have to set separate inventories, leading to duplicates and inaccuracies. Solutions: Create an Inventory Group for the Unisex Tee and set a mutual inventory for both. When one tee is bought, the inventory for the other will be deducted accordingly. | Stationery Set Problems: The set includes 1 Weekly Planner, 2 Planner Pads, and 3 Pens. Since these items are sold both individually and as a set, you must sync inventory among them. Solutions: Create individual products and a product representing the set/bundle. Then, create a Bundle Group to define the inventory relationship among them. The Stationery Set product will be the Master product, while the Weekly Planner, Planner Pad, and Pen will be the Component products, with quantities of 1, 2, and 3 per bundle, respectively. The existing quantities of all component products determine the available quantity of the Master – Stationery Set. When the Stationery Set is bought, the Component products will be deducted by their respective quantities in the bundle. |
